This
week the 36th National Conference of the Afro American Historical
and Genealogical Society (AAHGS) will convene in Richmond, VA.
This
will be my second time attending the National Conference and I’m looking
forward to reconnecting with some of my genealogy buds.
And
although my trusty side kick, that would be mom, has been having some issues of
late, I’m bring her along, because I think it would do her a world of good to
get away for a few days. Plus, she seems
to enjoy these activities as much as I do, especially when she becomes engaged in
a conversation with someone and can reminisce about her childhood days.
While
at the Conference, I hope to do a bit of blogging and post some pictures, so be
on the lookout for those.
Hopefully,
by the end of the week, provided life settles down, I’ll get re-energized to
return to the hunt.
