Wednesday's Child

Everyone was excited to welcome him into the world, especially one of his big cousins (that would be me), but we never got a chance. Prior to his birth, he became entangled in his umbilical cord.

The following year, his great grandmother, my grandmother, would be interred beside him. Growing up and even now, I've always imagined that my grandmother was taking care of him in the after life.

  1. Mavis, I'm sure you're right and your grandmother has been holding him close. What a lovely stone your family chose for him

  2. Thanks Pattie. His dad, who died a couple of years ago, was my first cousin. My cousin and his wife went on to have 3 more children. Even though he never lived, I will always miss Jeffrey.

  3. I know you're right. I believe we will have an opportunity to raise those children who passed beyond the veil before birth or adulthood. I'm sure she's loving every moment with him.
