Treasure Chest Thursday - Necktie Quilt

My mother made this beautiful Necktie "Crazy Quilt" sometime during the 1990s. One year she entered it at the Cleveland County Fair and received Judges Choice honors.

The picture of this beautiful quilt is part of the personal collection of the mother of the owner of this blog.

Goodness! What a handsome quilt! I wish my husband had saved all his colorful ties from years past, or that my Mom still had Dad's old ties. I love this idea.

Oh my gosh, this quilt is absolutely beautiful. It's easy to see why it won Judges' Choice! I love scrap and crazy quilts. Now I'm trying to resist the impulse to go find some ties....
